Ingredients:
Brownie:
1/2 cup butter
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 teaspoon vanilla (Optional)
Frosting:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup cocoa
Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Melt butter in a double boiler.
3. When melted, remove from fire and add sugar and beat well.
4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
5. Add flour, nuts and vanilla.
6. Mix well.
7. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 9 pan.
8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
9. To make frosting, mix together all ingredients and bring to a full boil over low heat, stirring constantly.
10. Cook exactly 1 minute.
11. Remove from heat, cool, stir and frost.
12. Let frosting harden before cutting brownies.
Makes one dozen.
